Monica Martinez, MD

We are excited to welcome Dr. Monica Martinez, MD, to Magnolia Family Medicine’s The Woodlands location, where she will begin accepting patients on November 2nd . Her schedule will be Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Dr. Martinez is board-certified in Family Medicine and a graduate of Texas A&M College of Medicine. She completed her residency at Memorial Family Medicine Residency in Sugar Land, Texas, and brings a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to family medicine.

 

Her areas of expertise include the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, anxiety, depression, and weight management. She also places a strong emphasis on preventive medicine, routine physicals, healthy lifestyle changes, and helping patients take an active role in their long-term health and wellness.

 

Dr. Martinez is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to connect with and care for a diverse range of patients and families.

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Martinez enjoyed a career as a Special Education teacher, an experience that helped shape her compassionate, patient-centered approach to caring for others. Her passion for teaching has continued throughout her medical career. She currently serves as an attending physician for Texas A&M medical students, where she enjoys mentoring and educating the next generation of physicians.

 

Outside of the office, family is at the heart of Dr. Martinez’s life. She is the proud mother of four wonderful sons and enjoys spending as much time as possible with them and her two beautiful granddaughters. Dr. Martinez and her husband live in Magnolia on 10 acres, where they enjoy their own little “farm” complete with gardens, chickens, tortoises, and their spoiled Yorkie Poo, Gizmo. She also enjoys feeding and watching the local wildlife, including deer, birds, and squirrels.

In her free time, Dr. Martinez enjoys hiking, camping, reading, painting, gardening, and traveling.
